Social Media Essentials for Growing Your Small Business
New technology is transforming the way we do business. That means it is more important than ever for indie and small businesses to embrace and apply social media and web 2.0 tools to achieve and maintain success. This day is jam-packed with practical information you can understand, and leverage to your advantage.
You’ll learn about six different kinds of social media, and how to know which are right for your business:
- Social networks: sites that allow members to build profiles that connect them to others.
- Blogs: and inexpensive, easy-to-use way to share your expertise and connect with potential customers.
- Wikis: sites that allow users to add and edit content, creating communal documents
- Podcasts: audio programs that can be inexpensively and easily recorded and shared.
- Discussion Forums: online discussion sites built around shared interests
- Online Communities: sites that organize and share specific types of content, such as the video-sharing site youtube.com.
